The South Jersey Chapter wants to ban plastic bags in Stone Harbor, NJ
Members of the South Jersey Chapter have urged the Stone Harbor Borough Council to ban plastic bags. They have spoken at Council meetings and educated the Mayor and Coucnil on the issue. Many towns in NJ are rushing to pass their own laws before the NJ Governor signs a state law that would put a fee on plastic and paper bags. If that law is not modified, the state law would superceed any local laws. On the chance that the Governor amends the law on his desk through a conditional veto, many towns, including Stone Harbor, are passing stronger laws.
