Bag Legislation in Avalon, NJ
The South Jersey Chapter is working with the town of Avalon, NJ on bag legislation appropriate for that town.
Chapter activists from South Jersey started working in Avalon, NJ in June to pass bag legislation. In late July, 2018 the town introducd a local ordinance that bans plastic single-use checkout type bags altogether. The law also bans styrofoam and plastic straws.
