The sun was out for our clean up of Wellington Avenue in Ventnor on Sunday, November 8th, 2015! 12 fantastic volunteers cleaned from the "Welcome to Ventnor" sign to Plaza Discount Liquors. Here are some photos:

Working along the roadside and into the marsh, the volunteers filled 9 bags with recycling and 14 oversized bags with trash.
We picked up 356 single-use shopping bags. One volunteer wore rain boots to walk into the water and get this bag out of the marsh.

The Surfrider Foundation South Jersey Chapter recently adopted this stretch of Wellington Ave, from the Welcome to Ventnor sign to Suffolk Ave, through the ACUA's Adopt-a-Road program. Four clean ups will be held annually. Join our mailing list to be notified of future clean ups.
