Join us for World Oceans Day 2019 for a bay cleanup at Shooting Island.

Saturday June 8, 2019 10am-1pm

Meet at Tennessee Avenue Boat Ramp in Ocean City, NJ

Bring your own kayak or stand up paddle board (SUP). If you need to reserve a kayak or SUP, stop by DAKS Kayaks 1101 Asbury, Ocean City, NJ or call 609-938-1195.

We will be cleaning up Shooting Island, an uninhabited bay island located in the Cape May Wetlands Wildlife Management in Great Egg Harbor Bay in Cape May County,

We will have a boat ready to bring debris and trash collected along Shooting Island back to the boat ramp.

We recommend dressing for 60-degree weather and water, and wearing clothing such as a wetsuit, long sleeve shirt and closed-toed/waterproof shoes (e.g. rain boots, water shoes).

Cleanup supplies such as 5 gallon buckets, bags, gloves and trash pickers will be provided.  Everyone is welcome to bring their own bucket and gloves.
