International Surfing Day on June 20th

Written by South Jersey | May 18, 2017 12:17:18 AM

International Surfing Day brings together surfers and beach lovers to celebrate the sport of surfing and the longest night of the year, June 20th.

Our International Surfing Day Celebration will include a free surf clinic; beach cleanup; guided nature walks; yoga; a sunset drum circle; and public education about keeping our beaches and ocean clean and protected. Light refreshments will be provided and Surfrider swag and membership specials will be available for sale. Please bring your reusable bottles for water!  This event is single-use plastic-free.

We are partnering with the Downbeach Surf Camp, Heart of Surfing, and Stacey’s Surf and Paddle Camp to offer surf lessons. Surf lessons will be free but you must help clean the beach before you can get a lesson

Have an old wetsuit you are no longer using? Bring it to ISD! We are collecting for Lava Rubber, a NJ company that recycles wetsuits into yoga mats and more.
